Once you finish playing a song (or a part) in Play mode, you see the song end screen, where you can review your performance and see how you did. From there, you can also check the song leaderboard to see how others have played the song.
Song end screen
The top right-hand corner shows your score. How you play affects the stars and the score you receive. Stars range from one silver star to three gold stars for each song part. To earn gold stars, you need to play everything right with good timing.
If you liked the song, you can add it to your favorites or into a song collection
. You can also keep track of your daily goal progress from the end screen.
Depending on how you played, you can select to Play again, Practice, Perfect it, or Continue.
How the song score is calculated
When you play a song more than once, you see two scores:
Your score – the points you earned in your most recent play-through.
Your best – the highest overall score you’ve achieved for the song.
Your best isn't the score from a single play. Instead, it combines the best results for each part of the song across all your plays.
Example:
You finish a song and get Your score: 51,000. Your best is 59,000, because that’s the sum of your top performances on all parts of the song from previous plays.
The leaderboards always show your best score.
When you replay the song, the score displayed at the start will also be your best score.
Song leaderboards
To access a song leaderboard, select the Leaderboard button located in the top right corner of the song screen. The leaderboard lets you see how your performance ranks alongside other Yousicians. You can challenge yourself to improve your score, celebrate your milestones, and help you stay motivated while you learn.
You can toggle between My level, Global, and Friends views.
Weekly Challenge leaderboards
If you replay a song from a past Weekly Challenge, the challenge leaderboard does not update, since the challenge has ended. However, your score counts towards the song leaderboard. You can access the song leaderboard from the song's end screen.
