Welcome to Yousician, the guided learning application you can use to learn to play ukulele.
When you play, Yousician listens via the microphone built-in to your device, and gives you real-time feedback. All you need is a 4-string concert or soprano ukulele and a phone, tablet, laptop/desktop that meets these requirements. Tenor ukulele tunes to a low G tuning, and is not supported by Yousician. If you have a tenor ukulele, you need to change the G string, and tune it to high G tuning.
The ukulele learning path includes lessons developed by our expert team of educators. The lessons, also known as Missions, cover skills from basics to advanced techniques. As you progress, you build your skills step-by-step.
When you first start, your teacher introduces you to ukulele basics. He gives tips on how to hold your ukulele and explains the strings, as well as how to tune them with the in-app tuner. Once you have tuned the strings, you move to the first mission called Getting Started. Select the Tabs task to continue learning.
You can access the ukulele learning path via the arrow button. If you find the first mission easy, you can skip ahead in the path and advance at your own pace.
You can find our instrument recommendations at the Yousician Blog.
