Playing piano requires a special type of coordination. It takes time to get comfortable playing both hands at the same time.
If you are finding it tricky to put both hands together, here are some things you can try:
- Practice the song with left and right hand separately. This allows you to get familiar with the notes without having to also think about what the other hand is doing.
- Practice the challenging parts. Is there one section that is preventing you from mastering the song? Try practicing just that part, until you are comfortable with it.
- Break it down. Which notes/chords are played with both hands at the same time? Which notes are played in between with only one hand? Take a closer look and find the patterns.
